Edith Frost’s “Nothing Comes Around”: EP review

I’ve only recently heard of this indie folk singer Edith Frost, who’s been putting out music since the 90s. Her 2020 EP “Nothing Comes Around” includes an original song which showcases her unique psychedelic folk vibe, alongside two covers of Jimmie Rodgers and Carter Family songs, sounding a little like Grateful Dead meets early Angel Olson or Sharon Van Etten. I’m looking forward to listening to more Edith Frost. I also checked out another 2020 release, her single “Little Sign,” which pushed even further in that Beatles meets folk direction.
