Echoscape’s “Half Moon”: Music review

Before leaving the US, math-folk indie artist Echoscape began work on this new EP in 2016 at his Brooklyn apartment and drummer and co-producer Justin Wierbonski’s practice space, completing the work back home in Hyogo, Japan.
The vocals are stronger and firmer than previous albums, and while the guitar work is less intricate and involved, it is confident and mature, the melodies are often more direct and compelling, and the songwriting is strong.
