“The Love Witch”: Film review

Delightfully awash with summer of love costumery and make-up, this over-the-top technicolor-on-acid homage to 60s pulp is a montage of Renaissance Fair foppery, New-age moon-witch hippie Tarot-card romanticism, cliched cartoonesque scenarios of cardboard paganism, Wicca, and earth religions, with somewhat discomforting fun-poke caricatures of ‘back in the day’ but actually not so ‘back in the day’ gender and race role prejudices.
