“Lights out”: Film review

They had a pretty good idea with this one, mainly centered on a visually creepy and unsettling character. However, the backstory falls flat, and much of the acting, particularly the child lead, is terrible and wooden. At barely 75 minutes, you have to wonder how much rubbish simply wasn’t even good enough to make it into the mediocre final cut. Aside from a couple of skin-crawling moments, this is entirely forgettable.
