“When animals dream”: Film review

A young girl discovers her mother isn’t actually an invalid, she’s a sedated werewolf, and it runs in the family. The locals in this small Danish fishing town aren’t on board with this, having suffered the consequences of the mother’s prior sprees, and the obvious conclusion is a face-off between werewolf daughter and townspeople, which takes place on a fishing boat and peoples’ faces are off. Except the local guy who’s fallen for werewolf girl – somehow he doesn’t lose his face and away they sail into the fog.
Tastefully shot, tensely acted, nicely balanced little Danish werewolf movie.
