“Thirst”: Film review

This is what happens when people let me choose the vampire movie to watch next…
A priest falls away from his vows into debauchery, adultery, murder, and vampirism. Alternately beautifully shot and as gory as can possibly be, with possibly the most awkward love scene ever featured on screen. The fleshy sucky noises of kissing and lovemaking are as ridiculously excessive as the blood, but the film never really reaches a firm crescendo, instead riding along through various peaks and valleys and turning corners. Possibly one of the strangest comedy romance horror vampire films I’ve seen. It’s long too. And in Korean.
