Big Figment’s “cut~jux” and “Nine Dimensions”: Music review

If you’ve seen Big Figment live, you might agree that they clearly have something, with their combination serious technical musicianship, tight chemistry, and performance art live presence. Too bad you can only find these three tracks online for download/purchase, and I hope they are able to find the right production/engineering crew to truly capture the layers and intensity of their sound. “Cut knuckle” and “Nine Dimensions” are well mixed, but “Jux” sounds like a live recording in a practice space – the vocals and trumpet are reasonably clear, but the drums, bass and guitar sound muddy and in muffled.
