Mirabilis’ “>>Here and the hereafter<<“: Music review

Mirabilis’ “>>Here and the hereafter<<“ is the creative product of Dru Allen and Summer Bowman of This Ascension/Mercury’s Antennae and the Machine in the Garden. The album is heavily focused on vocals, and there is plenty of space in which the melodies and harmonies can be appreciated for their beauty, grace, and perfection. Some tracks are a cappella, others have a minimalist accompaniment, but always the songs sound full and engrossing, while Dru and Summer mix Indian, Japanese, medieval, French and other musical forms with touches of electronica and what Project label describes as ethereal/darkwave.
